Reading is given a major emphasis throughout the school curriculum, particularly in the

primary grades. It is a total language program that incorporates a strong phonetic base

in the primary program. Students at the intermediate and middle school level are

provided book study opportunities as a means of integrating Reading into other

curriculum areas.
