St. Boniface Catholic School Erie, PA

Technology

St. Boniface School has incorporated information technology throughout the curriculum.  The school community uses technologies for education, communication, problem solving, analysis, and research in accordance with Catholic values, ethical principles and moral decision making.  Students have the opportunity to locate, process, and use information in order to improve their abilities to learn, communicate, reason, and work.

The school uses a standard network with Microsoft Office applications, workstations and projectors in the classrooms, a 16 station computer lab, and a network security solution to protect our users.

Other technology features at St. Boniface School include: a web-based library card catalog, integrated use of on-line technologies in the classroom, and use of the Accelerated Reader reading support application.

Additional enhancements underway are the installation a wireless network throughout the school and issuance of laptops for all students in grades 5 - 8 for support in school.
